Sounding Board Researchers

The SB R is composed of 16 ORD experts from different disciplines, career levels and language regions of Switzerland. The SB R’s main task is to enable the participation of research communities in the further development of the Swiss Open Research Data (ORD) landscape.

In this context, the SB R is exploring long-term perspectives of ORD in the light of national and international developments, identifying pain points and blind spots of disciplinary or data-specific needs of the communities regarding ORD, and anticipating attitudes and reactions of researchers towards the implementation of ORD.

Furthermore, the SB R acts as the Jury for the Open Research Data Prize given by Swiss Academies. This task encompasses determining both the scope of the award and its criteria, compiling the shortlist, and selecting the winner.
